Goals for October 8-14, 2017

This week’s “article idea sources” is another piece of my marketing book. I’m not getting any feedback on the posts so I need to find a way to develop that. Maybe a weekly email to opt-in people? Or go directly to my personal Facebook network. Guest posting might be another way to get a little more exposure.

Goals for this week:

  • Publish weekly goals
  • Add a relevant person to LinkedIn and Twitter – target sports management and marketing people
  • Publish “article idea sources” article
  • Publish on Medium and LinkedIn
  • Aerobic capacity training – Week 7 – test and rebuild
  • Finish Outlining “Club Basketball Marketing” book into chapters
  • Udemy section 2

  • Week 7, Day 2

Thursday

  • Online networking (60 min)
  • Week 6, Day 2

Friday

  • Section 2 of Udemy Course (30 min)
  • Outline marketing book into chapter topics (30 min)
  • Week 7, Day 3

Saturday

  • Finish Outline marketing book in to chapter topics (60 min)

How did last week’s goals go:

  • Continue “BAM Jam Facebook Marketing Campaign”

I’m accepting that the BAM Jam Facebook campaign write up is feeling way more like work than interesting. So I’m not going to do that here. That will be a project that I’ll finish during work hours. In the meantime, the marketing book is still being outlined. Almost done with the second part.

Goals for this quarter:

  • Get to sub 6:00 minute mile
  • Date night with each of the kids (Matthew, Katy, Livy)
  • Get real estate license
  • Read 1 book
  • Listen to 4 books
  • Outline a course or book on Marketing for Youth Basketball
  • Sign up for 2 volunteer days at Katy’s school
  • Sign up for 2 volunteer days at Matthew’s school

How did last quarter’s goals go:

  • Tweak and begin Aerobic program – get to sub 6:00 minute mile
  • Date night with each of the kids (Matthew, Katy, Livy)
  • Read 1 book (Legacy)
  • Listen to 4 books (The Founder’s Mentality, Play Bigger, Grain Brain)
  • Is there an opportunity to create recurring revenue from Select’s experience?
    • Put together the outline of a basic training course
  • Should I transfer this blog to Blue Host or another hosting company?
  • Sign up for 2 volunteer days at Katy’s school
  • Sign up for 2 volunteer days at Matthew’s school

Goals for the year

  • Run a sub 6 minute mile (start of this year is 6:23)
  • Get Fran time under 5:30 (start of this year is 6:05, finished at 4:48)
  • Validate a new idea via the Will It Fly process
  • Volunteer in Katy’s K class twice and in her first grade class twice
  • Volunteer in Matthew’s K class twice
  • Read or listen to 6 books (Extreme Ownership, Start With Why, The 10X Rule, The Four Hour Work Week, The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, Disruptive Marketing, Buy Buttons, Shoe Dog, Known, Top of Mind, Get Scrappy, Legacy, Founder’s Mentality, Play Bigger, Grain Brain)
  • Is Start a Fire a content tool worth using?
